Three persons were killed while four others were seriously injured in two separate road accidents that took place in two different places of Dhanbad including one at Logharia area of Tundi block this morning at around 6 am and other at Bhuianchitro area of Topchanchi this noon at around 12 pm.
The first accident took place this morning when a car bearing registration number JH10 AD/0378 heading from Govindpur in Dhanbad towards Giridih collided head on with a Truck (JH 11 E 8566) running in opposite direction on Govindpur road at Logharia area of Tundi.
The car driver, Praveen Kumar Sahu of Rajdhanwar died on the spot spot, three other persons on board the car including Nishant Kumar Sinha and Rahul Singh of Rajdhanwar and Guddu Sahu of Chatro who were also injured in the incident are undergoing treatment at SNMMCH.
Eyewitnesses said that as the car was badly damaged in the accident Tundi police had to bring a gas cutter machine to extricate the trapped persons from the vehicle.
Officer in Charge of Tundi Police station Santosh Kumar Singh while confirming the accident said, “The dead body has been sent to postmortem at SNMMCh while injured persons are undergoing treatment in the same hospital."
Meanwhile, in the second accident that took place in Bhuianchitro area of Topchanchi area, a father-son duo of Chandrapura area of Bokaro were killed when they were heading towards Lilori temple of Dhanbad on a bike to perform prayers on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
Notably, Dilchand Soren (45) was heading towards Lilori temple along with his wife Seema Devi (40)and son Anil Soren (18) and the accident took place as his bike bearing registration number JH 10 BQ 2367 was hit by another bike coming from behind of Sonu Kumar, while trying to overtake. All the passengers on the two bikes fell on the road after the accident while Dilchand Soren and his son Anil Soren were hit by a truck JH 10 Au 8200 coming from behind leading to their death on the spot. Sonu Kumar who was driving the second bike was also seriously injured in the accident.
