While the tender for laying underground cables has been finalised for Adityapur and Mango, the tender for Jugsalai is stuck because of some technical reason.

JBVNL general manager-cum-chief engineer (Singhbhum electricity supply area) Arvind Kumar said underground cabling would be done for all modes of power lines starting from 33kv to service lines.

“A tender for underground cabling under Integrated Power Development Scheme has already been finalised by the board of Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam in Ranchi. Gupta Electricals, which has bagged the tender will start a fresh survey of the areas where the cable-laying work will be done,” Kumar said.

Superintending engineer of JBVNL’s Jamshedpur circle Sudhanshu Kumar on Thursday held a meeting with Gupta Electricals and asked it to start the survey work as early as possible.
