Owing to speedy recovery of Covid patients in Dhanbad, the active cases are decreasing in number and it came down to below the 690 mark on Friday.

The speedy recovery of patients can be assumed from the fact that the number of recovered patients is larger than the daily reported new positive cases.

The rosy scene can be assumed from the fact that altogether 130 positive cases were reported on Friday lesser than the recovered 136 patients.

On January 13, altogether 118 positive cases were detected while around 138 were discharged from different hospitals. On January 12 when maximum 183 cases of recent days were reported from different parts of Dhanbad the district also witnessed the discharge of record 208 persons from different hospitals where covid treatment is going on.

On January 11 the positive cases reported were slightly higher than the recovered patients as 158 new positive cases were detected while 138 were discharged.

The discharge rate was more than double than the newly detected positive cases in the district as on January 10 while only 104 new cases were reported while a whopping 210 persons were recovered from different hospitals.

On January 9 199 cases were detected and 184 persons recovered while on January 8, altogether 167 new positive cases were detected while 190 Covid patients recovered.

Cumulatively, in the last one week from January 8 to January 14 altogether 1059 new cases were detected during the same period altogether 1204 Covid patients recovered which means that the number of recovered patients was 145 more than the newly detected positive cases during the last one week.

Explaining the reason for lesser detection of cases compared to recovery rates of covid patients, Dr AK Singh, state president of Indian Medical Association said, Tthe main reason for drop in active covid cases due to lesser rate of newly detected cases compared to recovered cases is intensive vaccination as majority of the people are immunized against Covid 19.”

“Apart from admitted patients of hospitals recovering large number of people who are on home isolation are recovering in three four days,” said Singh but cautioned against any laxity in this regard as all vaccinated persons will have follow all covid related protocols in strictest sense to ensure their safety and also the safety of their family members.

“I have myself taken the booster dose but observing all covid related protocols in the strictest sense as any laxity can prove to be fatal” said Singh and added that more than 15 lakh eligible persons out of total 19.5 lakh in the district have already taken the first dose of vaccine," he added.
