Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun-starrer becomes highest grossing Hindi film in India

Directed by Sukumar, the actioner has earned Rs 607 crore nett in Hindi

Allu Arjun's action-packed drama Pushpa 2: The Rule has emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film at the Indian box office, with a collection of Rs 607.35 crore nett in Hindi language in 14 days, beating Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2, according to latest trade reports.

Stree 2’s lifetime collection in India stands at Rs 598 crore nett.

As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Pushpa 2’s earnings saw a slight dip of 10.92 per cent on Wednesday but still managed to pull in an impressive Rs 20.8 crore nett.

By the end of its 14th day, Pushpa 2 had amassed a total of Rs 973.2 crore nett across all languages in India. This includes Rs 293.3 crore nett in its original Telugu version, Rs 607.35 crore nett in Hindi, Ra 51.6 crore nett in Tamil, Rs 13.93 crore nett in Malayalam, and Rs 7.02 crore nett in Kannada.

S.S. Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 continues to hold its record as the highest earning film in India in terms of total collection from multiple languages. The epic blockbuster earned Rs 1,030.42 crore nett during its theatrical run, maintaining its lead over Pushpa 2.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule continues the story of Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun), a red sandalwood smuggler struggling to gain respect from his estranged family while battling his adversary, police officer Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil). Rashmika Mandanna reprises her role as Srivalli, Pushpa's wife.
