The Archies director Zoya Akhtar has unveiled the first-look character posters from the upcoming Netflix film, offering a glimpse of Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Mihir Ahuja and Khushi Kapoor from the much-anticipated retro-styled movie that marks a number of acting debuts. Set in the fictional town of Riverdale in 1964, the film is an adaptation of the popular The Archies comics series.

Zoya introduced Suhana as the “sassy and classy” Veronica Lodge. The Archies marks Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana’s acting debut.

Agastya Nanda was dubbed the “heartthrob of Riverdale”, embodying the iconic character Archie Andrews.

Khushi Kapoor was introduced as Betty Cooper, the girl next door who should not be “taken for granted”.

Mihir Ahuja’s Jughead Jones was introduced as a character who doesn’t like sharing his food with others but is open to offering “food for thought” instead.

Vedang Raina, Yuvraj Menda, and Aditi Dot will be portraying the other main characters in the film.
