Bollywood veteran Zeenat Aman stirred nostalgia in her 100th Instagram post on Tuesday with a throwback picture of herself in the garb of an Egyptian queen.
Closely resembling Elizabeth Taylor’s Cleopatra with her golden ancient Egyptian ensemble, Zeenat’s still is from her 1977 suspense thriller Chhailla Babu, also starring Rajesh Khanna, where she played the daughter of a mobster.
Talking about her 100th social media post, Zeenat said it felt ‘surreal’ that a year back she was clueless about social media. Since making her first post on February 11, 2023, the actress has been dishing out posts regularly featuring herself and her passion projects.
“When you know you’re a queen but they’re still in de-Nile,” Zeenat made a pun in the caption, asking fans, “Quite a fun way to mark this occasion, don’t you sphinx?”
The actress also invited fans to celebrate her milestone ‘in Meme-at Aman style’ by commenting with one-liners and puns. Acknowledging Zeenat’s invite for fun comments, Farah Khan wrote, “Uv always been the best ‘mummy’ Zeenat,” while Chitrangda Singh commented, “Thank god for The Queen Zee in the middle of this Gen Z !! Please rule on ..”
Zeenat is set to make her comeback with the film Bun Tikki, where she will co-star with Shabana Azmi and Abhay Deol. The movie is set to release this year, but the date has not been announced yet.
