Siddhant Chaturvedi’s rage-filled titular character faces off against Raghav Juyal’s fierce antagonist as he sets on a mission to track down his father’s murderer in the trailer of action drama Yudhra.
Dropped by Excel Entertainment on Thursday, the trailer opens with Yudhara’s anger issues and features several intense scenes, including Yudhra breaking an opponent’s arm and sawing another’s wrist.
Malavika Mohanan plays Nikhat, Yudhra’s love interest, who implores Yudhra to control his anger for her sake. The trailer goes on to show their sizzling on-screen chemistry as they share romantic moments in a pool and in a coastal region.
It is revealed that Yudhra is as daring as his father Girish, who was murdered by Firoze, the reigning drug lord of the country. When Yudhra ends up in jail after a street fight, Ram Kapoor’s prison official tasks him with hunting down this dangerous criminal.
At this crucial juncture, Raghav Juyal’s character enters the scene. He promises Firoze that he will capture Yudhra.
The trailer concludes with a visual of Nikhat, who is seen mourning as a shrouded coffin is carried through the streets. However, Yudhra’s voiceover asserts that death is his friend and won’t claim him so easily.
Directed by Ravi Udyawar, known for the Sridevi-starrer Mom (2017), Yudhra will hit theatres on September 20. The film also stars Gajraj Rao, Shilpa Shukla and Raj Arjun in key roles.
“Action-packed ride with romance and drama involved,” reads the official synopsis of Yudhra on IMDb.
Farhan Akhtar has co-produced Yudhra with Ritesh Sidhwani. Besides, he has co-written the dialogues for the film with Akshat Ghildial.
While Farhan’s father Javed Akhtar serves as the lyricist, Shankar Ehsaan Loy has composed the music for the movie.
