Web series Eken Babu Ebar Kolkatay success party hosted at Trapeze

Anirban Chakrabarti aka detective Ekendra Sen at the success party of the Hoichoi series Eken Babu Ebar Kolkatay at Trapeze. Talking about the overwhelming love Eken Babu Ebar Kolkatay has received, Anirban said, “This is the sixth season of the show and I’m still overwhelmed by the love received by the show and the characters. I thought I’d be habituated by now, but it still gives me the same joy and excitement and a drive to do better. Saying that I’m grateful would be an understatement for sure.”

Somak Ghosh plays the role of Pramatha in this thriller. Pramatha is Eken’s companion along with Bapi. He is an empiricist at the University of Chicago.

Suhotra Mukhopadhyay, who plays Bapi in Eken Babu Ebar Kolkatay, expressed his joy saying, “This is my second time being Bapi in the Eken Babu franchise and I’m extremely grateful for the way things panned out. The series got immense love and the characters are household favourites. I’m overwhelmed by all the love and appreciation and again immensely grateful.”

“Eken Babu is a character that isn’t larger than life, you probably know an Eken Babu and he’s a detective. However, the immense love and support audiences have shown towards the show and the character is truly heartwarming and I’ll be ever grateful for that,” said director Joydeep Mukherjee.

Sandipta Sen, who will soon be seen in an Eken Babu film herself, said, “I’m not being biased when I say that this season of Eken Babu was truly engaging. The mystery was intense, the jokes were there and the Eken Babu magic was all over. I enjoyed Eken Babu Ebar Kolkatay too much and also am glad to be a part of the Eken universe now, with the upcoming Eken Babu film — The Eken: Ruddhaswas Rajasthan.”

Neel Bhattacharya and Trina Saha. Trina spoke about her love for the series saying, “I’m a big time Eken Babu fan, and this time when the series was centered around Calcutta itself, I knew I had to watch it and was I entertained. It’s funny and thrilling all at once and I just loved it.”
