Wonka star Timothee Chalamet has signed a multi-year agreement with Warner Bros. which ensures his involvement as an actor as well as a producer in a series of upcoming films, the studio said in a statement to American media on Wednesday.

Chalamet's recent successes at the box office have undoubtedly influenced Warner Bros.' decision. The actor spearheaded two consecutive hits for the studio. Wonka, released last December, amassed a staggering USD 632 million globally, while Dune: Part Two, which hit theatres in March, has already raked in USD 575 million worldwide and continues to climb.

In a joint statement to Variety, Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, co-chairs and CEOs of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, expressed their enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasising Chalamet's exceptional talent and dedication.

“Over the last few years, we have admired not only Timothée’s commitment to his craft, which is evident in the range and depth of his varied roles, but also his unwavering dedication to give 100% of his time and attention to every project he has made here at Warner Bros. and elsewhere. His collaboration on the campaigns for Dune and Wonka is something we all enjoyed immensely, and the results speak for themselves,” the statement read.

Chalamet reciprocated the sentiment, acknowledging Warner Bros.' unwavering support throughout his recent endeavours. “Working with Mike De Luca, Pam Abdy and their teams on Wonka and Dune over these last few years has been a deeply rewarding experience,” Chalamet told Variety.

“These are studio heads who believe in real movie making, and I’m so grateful for their support as an actor, producer and collaborator. This partnership feels like a natural next step,” he added.
