Actress Vidya Balan’s upcoming murder-mystery film Neeyat had its sound work done at London’s iconic Abbey Road Studios, where popular music bands like Beatles and Pink Floyd have recorded their songs in the past, the makers of the Prime Video film said ahead of its July 7 release.
The suspense-thriller, directed by Anu Menon of Shakuntala Devi fame, revolves around the story of an unlikely detective (Vidya) investigating inexplicable killings at a billionaire's party where nothing is as it seems and all suspects have a secret or two.
Marking Vidya’s return to theatres after her successful OTT stint, Neeyat features an ensemble cast of Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Prajakta Koli, Neeraj Kabi, Amrita Puri, Shahana Goswami, Niki Walia, Dipannita Sharma, Shashank Arora, Danesh Razvi, Ishika Mehra and Madhav Deval.
Menon has co-written the script for the film with Priya Venkataraman, Advaita Kala and Girvani Dhyani, while Kausar Munir has penned the dialogues.
The music for Raiders of the Lost Ark, Lord of the Rings, Hobbit trilogies, the Harry Potter series, Black Panther, 1917, Avengers: Endgame and Oscar-winning Gravity and The Shape of Water were composed in the Abbey Road Studios.
Popular singers like Ed Sheeran, Adele, and Lady Gaga have also recorded in this studio.
Produced by Prime Video and the Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia Entertainment, Neeyat will release in theatres worldwide on July 7.
