“Experience the breathtaking visuals of Dune Part Two in Cinemas on March 1. In English and Hindi. Releasing one day early in IMAX on February 29,” the official handle of Warner Bros. India posted on Instagram along with a short video teaser of the film.

The film's journey to the big screen has been marked by twists and turns. Initially set for October 20, 2023, Dune: Part Two faced delays owing to actors’ and writers’ strike.

Returning to the desert planet of Arrakis, Dune: Part Two follows Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet, as he embarks on a perilous journey with the Fremen. Seeking revenge and striving to avert a dark future, Paul faces new challenges and adversaries in this action-packed instalment.

The trailers have teased audiences with glimpses of breathtaking scenes including Paul riding a sandworm, epic battles against the Harkonnens, and the introduction of intriguing new characters. Alongside Chalamet and Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem reprise their respective roles from the first movie. They are joined by Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, Léa Seydoux, and Anya Taylor-Joy.

Villeneuve has co-written the script for Dune 2 with Jon Spaihts, with Greig Fraser behind the lens, capturing the vast and awe-inspiring landscapes of Arrakis. The haunting score, a trademark of the Dune series, is once again crafted by Hans Zimmer. Clocking in at 165 minutes, Dune: Part Two is set to become Denis Villeneuve's longest film to date.
