Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer spy action thriller Tiger 3 registered its lowest single-day collection of Rs 10.25 crore on Sunday, the day that saw a peak viewership of 5.9 crore for India vs Australia ICC World Cup final on Disney+ Hotstar alone.
According to a report by Sacnilk.com, the film’s collection nearly halved from Rs 18.5 crore nett on Saturday to Rs 10.25 crore nett on Sunday.
Helmed by Maneesh Sharma and featuring Emraan Hashmi in a negative role, Tiger 3 made an impressive opening with Rs 44.5 crore nett in India across all languages on Diwali. Its highest day-wise collection came on the second day, with Rs 59.25 crore nett in India. However, the film saw a decline in its box office figures as it progressed through the week.
The spy thriller's collection pattern in India for its first week is as follows: Rs 44.3 crore nett on Day 3, Rs 21.1 crore nett on Day 4, Rs 18.5 crore nett on Day 5, Rs 13.25 crore nett on Day 6, and Rs 18.5 crore nett on Day 7.
With Sunday’s earnings, the total collection of the Salman-starrer in India stands at Rs 229.65 crore nett so far. The film has amassed over Rs 357 crore gross worldwide in its first week in theatres.
The Tiger franchise, which kickstarted with the 2012 film Ek Tha Tiger, features Salman Khan in the role of super spy Avinash Singh Rathore aka Tiger and Katrina Kaif as his wife Zoya.
