In the video recorded by his phone, Reynolds introduces Jackman as his “favourite Australian”. He then passes the phone to Jackman, who is heard saying “It’s nice to be here and thanks man”. Jackman then hands the phone over again to Reynolds, who turns his camera towards Bang Chan and Felix.

Reynolds, who plays Deadpool in the film franchise, also hinted at the possibility of Stray Kids’ comeback song Chk Chk Boom being featured in the upcoming MCU film. “I successfully negotiated a trade. Wolverine will be the newest and only member of @Stray_Kids. And the entire band will join the MCU. We wish @RealHughJackman all the best on his K-pop journey,” he wrote on the microblogging site.

A picture of Stray Kids with both Reynolds and Jackman have also been posted on X. “Introducing Stray Kids’ besties. Ryan & Hugh. We’re so excited to show you all the awesome things we have in store! Stay tuned,” says the caption.

At the press conference, Reynolds said he loves the K-pop girl group Blackpink and Stray Kids as well.

Reynolds and Stray Kids first connected in 2021 after the K-pop band rolled out a Deadpool-inspired performance at the reality survival show Kingdom as participants. The event caught Reynold’s attention and he responded to a tweet about the performance. Following this, the two stars have shared several interactions on social media.

“Two things. First, I have your autograph right here, Bang Chan. Will send to you this week. Second, as a new @Stray_Kids fan, can I get an autograph?,” Reynolds tweeted in 2021, sharing a picture of him holding a Gin bottle with his autograph that he sent to Chan later on.

Chan also signed his autograph and sent it to Reynolds. “For big brother Ryan. From, your new favourite Australian,” he had written on the card.

Besides exchanging autographs, Reynolds wished Chan on his birthday back in 2021. Chan also interviewed Reynolds for his 2021 film Free guy. Apart from that, Reynolds frequently posts the band’s songs on his Instagram Stories.
