Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s spy thriller Tiger 3 crossed the Rs 100-crore mark in India in less than 48 hours since its release, collecting Rs 57.52 crore nett on its second day in theatres after a thunderous Rs 44.5 crore opening on Sunday, as per latest trade reports.
The total two-day collection of the Maneesh Sharma-directorial, a sequel to the 2017 blockbuster Tiger Zinda Hai, stands at Rs 102 crore nett.
Tiger 3 is the third film to breach the Rs 100-crore mark at the domestic box office in two days. Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawan achieved this feat earlier this year.
The Salman Khan-starrer is the tenth Hindi film to reach hit the Rs 100-crore milestone at the domestic box office in 2023 after Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, Ranbir Kapoor’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2, Adah Sharma-starrer The Kerala Story, Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl 2 and Prabhas-starrer Adipurush.
Internationally, Tiger 3 also left its mark, with an impressive Rs 94 crore gross worldwide on the first day. “History created on Diwali day! Love pouring in from all across the globe ,” Yash Raj Films posted on X, along with a poster detailing the film’s global earnings.
Tiger 3, a part of YRF's spy universe, features cameo appearances by Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir from the 2019 spy thriller War.
