Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer Tiger 3, the latest instalment in the YRF spy universe, experienced a slight dip in collections, raking in approximately Rs 42.50 crore nett on its third day at the domestic box office, according to trade figures.
The Maneesh Sharma-helmed spy thriller created a storm at the box office by reporting the third-highest opening day earnings on Sunday.
With collections of Rs 44.5 crore nett and Rs 59 crore nett on Day 1 and Day 2, respectively, Tiger 3 crossed the Rs 100-crore mark domestically on its second day, solidifying its position as one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
Despite the drop in collections on Day 3, Tiger 3’s cumulative earnings now stand at an impressive Rs 146 crore nett.
According to Box Office India predictions, the daily earnings of the Salman-starrer is likely to be affected on Wednesday as well because of India and New Zealand’s semi-final match at ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
Internationally, Tiger 3 continues to roar, grossing Rs 176.4 crore worldwide in just two days. The film earned Rs 94 crore gross worldwide on its opening day and added another Rs 82.4 crore gross to its kitty on the second day.
Tiger 3 is a sequel to the 2017 blockbuster Tiger Zinda Hai. The film brings back Salman as Tiger and Katrina as Zoya. Emraan Hashmi makes his debut in the franchise as the lead antagonist. Adding to the star-studded cast, Hrithik Roshan reprised his role as Kabir from War (2019) and Shah Rukh Khan made a special appearance as Pathaan.
