A super effervescent ‘crew’ takes us on board for a fun-filled journey centred around an incredible million-dollar heist. Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon as the leading ladies, the film unfolds a crazy twist in their ordinary lives, leading to chaos, confusion and madness. Dressed in classic air hostess uniforms teamed with cute blue side caps, the trinity of ladies not only left an imprint with their outstanding performances but also inculcated a renewed sense of fashion among the audience. Out of all the characters, Tabu’s Geeta was the highlight of the film. She was sassy, outgoing and experienced, illuminating the screen with her subtle humour. Kapil Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh were equally brilliant with their comic timing, impressing viewers with their cameos. Peppered with cheesy dialogues and perky jokes, the film presents a marvellous amalgamation of friendship, togetherness and ambition, keeping the audience entertained throughout its runtime. The rendition of old songs like Choli ke peechey took us back in time when dancing queen Madhuri Dixit had nailed it with her exceptional dancing prowess and on-point expressions. In spite of certain blemishes, the proficient cast deftly delivered a convincing all-round performance. In a nutshell, it is an easy-breezy comedy film marking a much-needed break from an array of action films running in the theatres. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Crew is a well-cooked heist comedy. It was enjoyable for many reasons. The best reason is the fiery chemistry among the three leading ladies Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon. Their smooth, glamorous, natural performances and comedy scenes made this movie unique. Secondly, the strong line of supporting actors. Director Rajesh A. Menon used his supporting stars very well. Saswata Chatterjee, as expected, gave his best in a small, attractive role. Songs, especially Sona kitna sona hain from Hero No. 1, were used beautifully and this song illustrates the catchline of Crew with limited words.

I appreciate the courage of the producers for launching a new definition of feminism in Bollywood. The protagonists are three ladies belonging to different age groups. There is no boy-meets-girl kind of romance. It tells the story of three strong-headed, real, cool, smart ladies who are ready to face and solve the problems life thrusts upon them. The ending, though, is completely unreal. But sometimes, it feels good to see stories which are not possible in real life, but we want them to happen nonetheless. This movie looks good and feels good.

I liked Crew because this Rajesh A. Krishnan-directed comedy-drama featuring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles of three air hostesses was an entertaining and refreshing watch. The story was gripping as well as heartfelt. The tale was narrated in a captivating way. Stellar performances by Tabu, Kareena and Kriti as the film’s three protagonists Geeta Sethi, Jasmine Kohli and Divya Rana respectively were a treat to watch. I loved their acting. The trio was really fabulous. They stole the show just effortlessly. Apart from these three Bolly heroines, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Kapil Sharma, Diljit Dosanjh and our very own Saswata Chatterjee’s acts impressed me . Overall, watching the film for me was an enjoyable ride.
