Director Rohan Sen is busy with the shoot of Subho Bijoya, starring Kaushik Ganguly, Churni Ganguly, Bonny, Koushani, Kharaj Mukherjee, Manasi Sinha, Devtanu and Amrita De among others.
Set in north Calcutta, Subho Bijoya is a poignant story of a joint family. Over time, the extended family has become more and more fragmented. An incident forces the estranged family members to come together and relationships start to entwine. Kaushik and Churni will be seen as a reel couple for the first time on the big screen as the head of the family, playing Amartya and Bijoya.
Holding the family together like glue are their older son and daughter-in-law, Aditya and Uma, played by Bonny and Koushani.
“This is a very interesting story where I will be seen sharing screenspace with Kaushik Ganguly, Churni Ganguly, Koushani and Devtanu. We are usually sad when Bijoya comes, but this Bijoya will be a Subho (happy) one,” smiles Bonny.
“This is my first film with Rohan and Kichukkhon Entertainment. The story Subho Bijoya revolves around Durga Puja and we Bengalis eagerly wait for the five days of Puja. We become extremely sad when it comes to an end. This film is going to be a gift from our side,” says Koushani.
