Denzel Washington’s Robert McCall comes out of retirement from his lowkey life in a picturesque Italian coastal town to level the score with the mighty Italian mafia in the trailer of The Equalizer 3, released by Sony Pictures Entertainment on Tuesday late night.
Promising that the latest in The Equalizer franchise will be the last chapter of McCall’s saga, the action-packed trailer starts with a bunch of henchmen going into a small villa in an Italian coastal town. They find dead bodies scattered all around the place and meet McCall (Denzel Washington), who gives only nine seconds even held at gunpoint.
The trailer also shows McCall living a peaceful retired time in Italy and making friends with a local family. However, when the mafia starts to harass that family, McCall comes out of retirement and displays his combat skills to equalise the aggression of the mafia.
