Tetris
The trailer of Apple TV’s upcoming biographical drama film Tetris came out on Thursday late night. Directed by Jon S. Baird and written by Noah Pink, the film stars Taron Egerton in the lead role alongside Nikita Efremov, Toby Jones, Rick Yune, Ben Miles and Roger Allam.
The two-minute-55-second-long trailer takes us to the mid-1980s when computer games were not very attractive. However, a Russian gamer developed a puzzle video game called Tetris, which is extremely addictive. It follows a Dutch game developer and entrepreneur going deep into the Soviet Union to secure a deal with the inventor while battling the all-encompassing eyes of the KGB.
Tetris will start streaming on Apple TV+ on March 31.
SK Sir Ki Class
The Viral Fever’s (TVF) official trailer for its upcoming coming-of-age series SK Sir Ki Class is now out. Directed by Pratish Mehta and written by Prashant Kumar, the show is a spin-off of TVF’s popular education drama series Aspirants and stars Abhilash Thapliyal, Gagan Arora, Naveen Kasturia, Shivankit Singh Parihar, Badri Chavan, Rajesh Jais and Venus Singh.
In the two-minute-long trailer, we get a glimpse of old Rajinder Nagar of Delhi which is famous for being the hub of UPSC coaching institutes. Then we are introduced to the son of a civil servant who should keep the tradition of his family alive by cracking the civil services exam. Here he meets SK Sir, a teacher who tries to give this aimless youth a purpose in life through the gruelling preparations for UPSC.
The pilot episode of SK Sir Ki Class will premiere on YouTube on February 21.
Love & Death
HBO Max on Thursday evening released the official teaser of its upcoming crime drama mini-series Love & Death. Directed by Lesli Linka Glatter and written by David E. Kelley, the series stars Elizabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemons in lead roles alongside Patrick Fugit, Lily Rabe, and Keir Gilchrist.
The one-minute-30-second-long trailer shows us the life of a housewife who looks perfect from the outside. She is attracted to a married neighbour and starts a steamy affair with him, but it leads to a murderous conclusion.
Love & Death will premiere on HBO Max on April 27.
Doogie Kamelaoha, M.D. Season 2
Disney Plus on Wednesday shared the teaser for the second season of its medical comedy-drama series Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. Based on the 1989–93 ABC TV series Doogie Howser, M.D, the show stars Peyton Elizabeth Lee in the titular role alongside Kathleen Rose Perkins, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, Jason Scott Lee and Ronny Chieng.
The 15-second-long clip shows glimpses of Lahela a.k.a Doogie, a child prodigy juggling the challenges of her teenage life, family commitments and an early medical career. The synopsis reads, “This season, Lahela’s life is full of decisions – Walter, Nico and choosing her medical speciality. In the end, who or what will she choose? Luckily, she has her family, coworkers and best friend to support her along the way.”
Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. Season 2 will be streaming on Disney+Hotstar from March 31.
