“It was great to have the students from the Bhawanipur Education Society College at the Subho Bijoya set. We were shooting a song sequence. In between the busy schedule I had a chance to interact with them. They loved watching the shoot for the first time and shared their observations and had questions for us. It was fun interacting with them. I am sure they had a great experience. They are very bright and I’m sure they will go on to make great films in the future,” said director Rohan Sen.

“The students are extremely smart and intelligent. They had a lot of questions. In between shoot both Bonny and I interacted with a bunch of them. I hope that they had a great learning and enriching experience,” said Koushani. “Both Koushani and I had an amazing experience interacting with the students. It was their first time visiting a film set. I’m sure they had a lot of fun,” said Bonny.

Set in north Kolkata, Subho Bijoya, produced by Kichukhan Entertainment, is a poignant story of a joint family. Over time, the extended family has become more and more fragmented. An incident forces the estranged family members to come together and relationships start to entwine. Kaushik and Churni will be seen as a reel couple for the first time on the big screen as the head of the family, playing Amartya and Bijoya.

Holding the family together like glue are their older son and daughter-in-law, Aditya and Uma, played by Bonny and Koushani.
