Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift is all set to make her feature-length directorial debut with a new film for American film production company Searchlight Pictures.
“Taylor is a once-in-a-generation artist and storyteller. It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey,” said David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield, presidents of Searchlight Pictures, the company that has come up with films like Black Swan, Slumdog Millionaire, Jojo Rabbit, The Tree of Life and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
The Grammy-winning singer has recently tasted success with her 14-minute short film All Too Well, which garnered over four million views on YouTube. The short movie was feted at the VMA Awards 2022 with the Best Direction Award alongside another of her directorial venture, The Man, making Swift the first-ever solo artist to achieve this feat.
All Too Well was also screened at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival. It is also eligible for the upcoming Oscars in the Short Film Category.
The 32-year-old singer also released an Instagram reel, giving an insight into her transition into a director.
