Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has bagged the fifth position in Forbes’ list of World’s Most Powerful Women 2023, which also features Beyonce, Oprah Winfrey and Rihanna among the top 100.
According to Forbes, the 33-year-old Cruel Summer singer has emerged as the first woman from the entertainment industry to secure a spot among the top five names on the list, dropped on Tuesday. In 2022, Taylor secured the 79th position on the list.
Women from business, technology, finance, media & entertainment, politics & policy and philanthropy featured on the list this year.
Among women from the media & entertainment industry, TV show host Oprah Winfrey secured the 31st position, while singer-songwriter Beyonce bagged the 36th spot. Singer-songwriter Rihanna featured at the 74th position.
This year, Taylor had also emerged as the first female artist to reach 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify, following the record-breaking success of her global Eras tour. She has so far won 12 Grammy Awards, 14 MTV Video Music Video Awards and nearly 100 Guinness World Records.
Taylor’s Eras Tour concert film, which released in theatres on October 13, will be available to rent on streaming platforms Apple TV+ and Prime Video, YouTube, Xfinity, Google Play and Vudu from December 13.
