Taapsee Pannu has aced the sari look for travels. Currently in Paris to support India’s badminton team, coached by her husband Matthias Boe, at the Olympics, Taapsee has been hitting the streets of the French capital in lightweight cotton saris styled in unique ways. The Haseen Dillruba actress’s ease in moving around in a sari dispels the notion that it is a cumbersome outfit. Here’s a look at Taapsee’s chic sari looks during her travels abroad.
In Paris, Taapsee traded the traditional blouse for a denim shirt with rolled-up sleeves to go with her bright yellow sari featuring quirky cat prints. Trendy glasses and black, heeled boots added a touch of drama to her vibrant summer look.
Taapsee, who turned 37 on Thursday, flaunted a beige conical crossbody sling and a stack of oxidised bangles.
The Dunki actress accessorised her denim shirt with a chunky oxidised neckpiece and an ear cuff on one ear. The side buns kept the look fuss-free.
On her birthday, Taapsee treated herself to a cup of coffee in a charming Parisian cafe.
On her second day in Paris, Taapsee strolled the city’s streets in a red cotton sari draped in the Marathi style. A sleeveless black crop top with black bangles and black wayfarers balances the look. Strappy sandals ensured comfort.
For a green sari from Suta, she chose a white vest that she wore on top of the pallu. White embroidered sneakers with a messy bun and silver bangles enhanced Taapsee’s style quotient.
On a trip to Moscow in 2021 with sister Shagun, Taapsee had sported a printed grey sari with tassels, with a yellow blouse, sneakers and shades.
A white-and-gold sari paired with a vibrant blue blouse was her choice for a day around Saint Petersburg. The sari’s crisp pleats were adorned with geometric motifs, while the blouse featured a plunging neckline. To round off her simple yet elegant look, Taapsee opted for a classic bun, chic shades and pastel sneakers.
