Actress Taapsee Pannu cheered for India’s badminton team, coached by her husband Matthias Boe, at this year’s Olympics. Here’s a look at some of her moments in Paris.
For her long walks along the Rue de l'Abreuvoir, known as one of the ‘oldest and prettiest roads in Paris, Taapsee donned a green sari paired with a white waistcoat. A high bun, black shades and green bangles completed her look. The Dunki actress is currently in the French capital to support her husband, badminton coach Matthias Boe, who has trained Indian men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty for this year’s Olympics.
“Day 1 of endless walking, Walking Paris’ prettiest street (coz that’s what Mindy says!) to walking from group stage to knockout stage. Time to call it a day,” the actress, who will next be seen in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, captioned the pictures on Instagram.
Taapsee jumped with joy and proudly waved the tricolour as Satwiksairaj and Chirag smashed Indonesia’s Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Fajar Alfian to qualify for quarter finals.
Taapsee and her sister Shagun posed for the lens on the brick-paved streets of Paris.
“Ok he gets dinner treat for good work today,” the Pink actress wrote about Matthias alongside a picture of him posing in front of the Olympics logo on a glass wall. Taapsee tied the knot with Matthias, an Olympian from Denmark, in Udaipur in March this year.
For her second day in Paris, Taapsee went for a red cotton sari draped in Maharashtrian style. She used a hashtag referring to her Haseen Dillruba character Rani Saxena in several pictures.
Taapsee indulged in croissants. “And how could I not,” Taapsee wrote, expressing her love for the French delicacy.
