Rituparna Sengupta looked back at the year when she turned up in a sari at the t2 Party. “t2 birthdays are always very special to me. There are too many memories! I remember the one where I wore this red-and-black sari very vividly. I loved the gate adorned with flowers. I had a shoot but talked to my director to specially bail me out of the situation there. When I walked inside, everybody loved my sari. We always get a chance to let our hair down and enjoy to the brim. I loved the themes over the years, took funny pics, played games, had good food... it is an extended family party for me,” said Rituparna.
Koel Mallick recalled t2’s cosplay-themed party as her favourite. “Awesome memories were made every year. From catching up with colleagues from the industry to soaking in the sights and sounds, I always had a great time at the t2 parties. But one of the parties really stood out because of the innovative theme. It was the one where we came dressed as our favourite characters. And I went dressed as Labanya from my film Ghare and Baire! That was really exciting,” said Koel
“My favourite t2 birthday party memory would have to be the last one that I attended. Owing to the fact that it was the last one and we always look forward to it. I remember, I was shooting all day but we thought it is t2, so we have to make it to the party like every year. The way it brings so many people together and we all make wonderful memories... I want to attend another t2 birthday bash soon,” said Rukmini Maitra.
Paoli Dam’s favourite t2 Party is the one in 2020. “Every birthday party of t2 was very memorable. Every year we used to meet friends and colleagues, dance and have a lovely time. It is a sort of reunion. There was a theme of dressing up as your favourite characters once. The parties used to happen at Shisha around that time. Every party had something to look forward to. The last one was fantastic. The theme was metallic and everyone looked their best,” said Paoli Dam.
Referring to t2’s neon-themed party, Sauraseni Maitra reminisced, “I remember, that year I was not well at all but t2 Party is something everyone looks forward to every year. So, despite being ill I had gone and had the best time. t2 is like my family, so it is a house party on a grand scale. I love the fact that t2 comes up with these nice themes and when we normally go to a club to party, we dress up as we want but t2 Party is something that actually makes people up their fashion game.”
“I remember there was one party where I had danced with everybody and it was published in the newspaper later, I felt very embarrassed,” said Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. “That year everybody was there, Rina di (Aparna Sen), Paoli, Raima... and we had a gala time. It happened at Shisha, with good people around and good mood. Once we had to wear red and I still remember I attended the party wearing a red scarf,” added the film-maker.
When t2 asked Parambrata Chattopadhyay to share his favourite memory, he said, “Memory? I thought the very idea of a party as fantastic as the t2 Party is to not remember anything!” Truth spoken! ROFL!
Shaheb Bhattacherjee dressed up as Batman’s Joker
“The t2 Party of 2016 was most memorable. Everyone dressed up as their fave film characters. I took it way too seriously and dressed up as Batman’s Joker. The look was a runaway hit and everyone had appreciated it a lot. Also, the 2020 party was probably the most scandalous party for me. It was the last party we attended before the pandemic. I have a lot of good memories from the t2 Party every year. Year after year,” shared Shaheb Bhattacherjee.
Shaheb Bhattacherjee and June
“Since t2 started throwing its birthday bash, I have attended almost all parties till the last one at Swabhumi. I really loved that it was a big bash and the theme was metallic. The food was great, the cake looked great and it was fun. This year we are missing it a lot. I remember the retro one too, I had worn a Dev R Nil organza outfit accessorised with big goggles. That was a fun party! I still have the picture in my house,” recalled June.
“All my t2 Party memories are wonderful. Some, I absolutely don’t remember! We have had some crazy times together. t2 always feels like home,” said Parno Mittra, dressed in black at a t2 Party.
Ridhima reminisced about her first t2 Party and said, “t2 Party is something everyone looks forward to every year. There is always so much fun and it is a great get-together. My first ever t2 Party will always remain special for me. The theme was retro and our whole Rang Milanti gang was there together.”
“t2 has been really close to us from the very beginning. But I have only one regret that t2 Party happens at such a time that there have been multiple times I have been unable to attend and Ridhima had gone with her other friends and they have had a wonderful time. I have just seen pictures of that and missed being there. Otherwise whenever I have been there it has been such a great pleasure,” said Gaurav Chakrabarty.

“We had a retro-themed party in Shisha once and we enjoyed it a lot. I had dressed up as Sridevi. But we couldn’t find Jeetendra and suddenly we found that Anindya Chatterjee (actor) had dressed up as Jeetendra, and that party was amazing. I danced for one hour straight and that’s beyond my stamina. And when I stepped out of the party, I couldn’t find my car only!” laughed Arunima Ghosh as she shared her memories with us.

“t2 Party feels like family. Last year the theme was metallic and the entire Tollywood was there. That’s the one party that no one wants to miss! From models, make-up artistes, actors, everyone who works throughout the year with t2, we reunite. Good food, a lot of gossip and a lot of fun,” said Ishaa Saha.
“My favourite t2 Party was the retro-themed party at Shisha and the last party at Swabhumi. Whenever there is a t2 Party, I get to meet so many people from my modelling and film circuit. I get to meet a lot of old friends. I did my first shoot with t2 when I started my career and it is the oldest team in my career,” said Tnusree C.
