Stree 2 beats Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa in advance ticket sales

The Amar Kaushik-helmed horror comedy has sold nearly four lakh tickets in pre-sales, amassing Rs 13.58 crore gross

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-starrer Stree 2 has sold almost four lakh tickets in advance bookings, raking in Rs 13.58 crore gross, surpassing the booking figures of Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa in terms of pre-sales.

According to industry data-tracking website Sacnilk, Stree 2 has already sold 3,93,772 tickets as of this morning. The film’s advance booking figures have surpassed those of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone-starrer Fighter, which had amassed Rs 8.3 crore gross by selling 2.79 lakh tickets.

The Hindi version of Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD had sold 3,39,665 tickets in advance bookings, accumulating Rs 8.6 crore gross.

Akshay Kumar-starrer Khel Khel Mein has managed to sell 15,460 tickets so far, amassing Rs 56.72 lakh gross, while John Abraham’s Vedaa sold 23,807 tickets earning Rs 57.89 lakh.

Maharashtra and Delhi circuits are leading in advance bookings for Stree 2, with collections of Rs 2.97 crore gross and Rs 2.93 crore gross, respectively. Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal follow with Rs 1.37 crore gross and Rs 1.22 crore gross, respectively.

Stree 2, also featuring Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee in pivotal roles, is a direct sequel to the 2018 blockbuster Stree. The film is the fifth instalment in Maddock Films’ supernatural comedy universe, which includes Munjya (2024), Bhediya (2022) and Roohi (2021).
