Season 4 of Netflix’s Stranger Things has pushed the total viewership of the series to more than 1.15 billion hours, the streaming service revealed on Tuesday.

The 80s-themed science-fiction drama created by the Duffer Brothers has become the most popular English-language series on Netflix. The only other Netflix show to cross one billion viewing hours is the South Korean drama Squid Game.

According to the streamer’s internal measurement, the latest season of the show surpassed the billion-hour mark in viewing worldwide following the release of its two episodes on July 1.

Season 4 of the science-fiction series starring Winona Ryder and Millie Bobby Brown now has 1.15 billion hours of viewing time over its first 28 days of release. The first seven episodes racked up 930.32 million hours over a period of 28 days, while episodes eight and nine accounted for just under 221 million hours of the total of 301.28 million hours worldwide viewing time for the week of June 27-July 3.

Among all Netflix originals, only Squid Game with 1.65 billion hours has a higher viewing time in the first 28 days of release. With more than three weeks left to rack up more viewing for the final two episodes, Stranger Things is likely to get close to or even surpass the Korean smash hit in terms of viewing time.

The final two episodes, which run nearly four hours combined, accounted for almost three-quarters of the season’s viewing last week.

The first three seasons of the series have also stuck around in Netflix’s English language top 10 for the past month and a half.

Stranger Things 4 has broken several streaming records, including the biggest debut weekend for a Netflix series by the OTT service’s own metrics and Nielsen’s highest weekly viewing tally in the United States since the company began its weekly streaming rankings.
