Bengali actress Sreemoyee Chattoraj Mullick has dropped a never-before-seen photo from her maternity shoot, days after welcoming her first child with actor-politician Kanchan Mullick.
The couple, who tied the knot on March 2 in Kolkata this year, welcomed a baby girl, who they named Krishvi, on November 2
“I am proud of many things in life, but nothing beats being a mother,” Sreemoyee captioned her photo on Instagram on Tuesday.
The photo features Sreemoyee in a white satin cropped blouse and a flowing skirt. She puts her hands on her baby bump and beams with a smile in the picture.
Sreemoyee and Kanchan announced the birth of their daughter on November 2, sharing an image of toys and a feeding bottle on social media along with the note, “Hi, on this auspicious occasion, we would like to share the best news of our lives…We are now a family of three. Please bless our baby girl, Krishvi.”
The couple tied the knot on March 2 in the presence of family, friends, and colleagues following a registry marriage on February 14. “Half my love and half your love this way the moon will be complete,” wrote Sreemoyee, sharing a video on Instagram.
Earlier this month, Sreemoyee shared a photo from her pregnancy journey. The actress, who rose to fame for her portrayal of Radharani in the TV series Krishnakoli, wrote, “It’s been a long journey... nine months of emotional and physical ups and downs. A journey where a small life would kick inside me, filling me with bliss... Now, after the long wait, my angel has arrived, and I realise every pain, every emotion was worth it.”
Sreemoyee also penned an appreciation post for her husband, Kanchan, expressing gratitude for his support during her pregnancy. She wrote, “The man who has been my best friend, by my side even before marriage, through good times and bad, has cared for me from day one of my pregnancy, met all my food cravings, accepted my mood swings with a smile, and held me with love. He’s still here, supporting me and our daughter, staying up with me night after night. Maybe it’s because of him that I was able to bring a healthy life into the world. He has given me the best gift in the world. I love you so much.”
Later, Sreemoyee took to Instagram to share photos from her baby shower. “Seventh month of little Krishvi inside me. That day was extremely precious as we were surrounded by love and warmth from our loved ones. We are truly grateful and deeply touched by all your good wishes and blessings for our little Krishvi,” she captioned the carousel.
The photos show Sreemoyee dressed in a purple sari and gold jewellery, while Kanchan wears a red t-shirt and trousers.
Kanchan, known for films like Zulfiqar (2016), Shashtri and Nikosh Chhaya, was most recently seen in Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 alongside Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit. The film was released theatrically on November 1.
