South Korean rapper Zico dropped the music video of his new single SPOT! featuring Blackpink’s Jennie on Friday.
Known for delivering hits like Bermuda Triangle (2017) and Daredevil (2019), the rapper makes a comeback to the K-pop circuit with the new single after a 21-month hiatus.
Accompanied by vibrant music, the three-minute-12-second music video shows Zico and Jennie travelling around the city vibing to the vibrant music infused with the catchphrase “Up and down, round and round, Everybody hit the spot” from the single.
The video shows Jennie swaying to the beats of the song inside a photo studio, while Zico hangs out and makes music with people on the street, in a baseball field and on the terrace. Eventually, the duo come together and go for a late-night drive around the city, singing and swinging to the energy of the song.
Other Blackpink members — Lisa, Jisoo and Rose — showed their support for Jennie’s new song. Lisa reacted with burning heart emojis during Jennie and Zico’s Instagram Live for the release of SPOT!, while Jisoo shared the song on her Instagram story. “Jennie unnie’s baaaaackk,” wrote Rose on her Instagram story.
All the members of Blackpink last appeared together in the music video of their 2022 single Pink Venom, which went on to top the Billboard Global 200, reaching No. 2 on the Circle Digital Chart and No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100.
