Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor long for each other as they stroll through the streets and havelis of Chanderi in the music video of Stree 2 song Tumhare Hi Rahenge Hum, dropped by the makers on Tuesday.

The three-minute-eight-second-long video shows Rajkummar and Shraddha’s palpable chemistry in old havelis and vibrant fairs. We see the on-screen couple flirting with each other and finding comfort in each other’s company until Rajkummar discovers the truth about Shraddha’s identity, which leaves him in shock.

The video begins with the final scene of the first instalment of Stree, showing Rajkummar seeing off Shraddha as she leaves Chanderi. Picking up from there, it shows the brewing love between the two as they get reunited.

Scenes where Rajkummar searches for Shraddha with a lit matchstick in the dark and the duo having fun at a fair are particularly heartwarming. At the end, Rajkummar is left stunned as Shraddha, who acquired the powers of Stree after tangling a chunk of the ghost’s braid with her own, reveals her true self to him.

Penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, Tumhare Hi Rahenge Hum is sung by Varun Jain, Shilpa Rao and Sachin-Jigar.

The trailer of the upcoming film shows Rajkummar and Shraddha’s characters facing off against headless monster Sirkata, who goes around kidnapping girls in Chanderi.

The 2018 horror comedy Stree is set in a small town where an evil spirit named Stree abducts men at night during the festive season.

Also featuring Pankaj Tripathi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Abhishek Banerjee, Vijay Raaz and Aparshakti Khurana, the sequel is penned by the writer of the original movie Niren Bhatt and backed by Dinesh Vijan and Jio Studios.

Helmed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is slated to release on August 15, the same day Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 will arrive in theatres.
