Pathaan marks Shah Rukh Khan’s come back on the big screen after four years YRF

Grossing more than Rs 200 crore in two days, Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan has taken the box office by storm, giving Bollywood a much-needed boost after the industry went through a prolonged post-pandemic setback in 2022. Celebrities from Bollywood and other Indian film industries have been showering love on Shah Rukh and his film that is running to packed theatres across the country.

Director Karan Johar called Pathaan the “biggest blockbuster”. The My Name is Khan director penned a heartfelt note on Instagram. "I don’t remember when I last had such a fun time at the movies!!!! This one’s just the biggest blockbuster !!! Mega is the word," he wrote.

Even Kangana Ranaut, who previously expressed her distaste for Bollywood, also gave a thumbs up to Pathaan. At a press conference with her Emergency co-stars Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik, the Queen actress conceded, "Pathaan is doing very well! I feel films like this should definitely work.”

Raveena Tandon was thrilled about the reunion of Karan and Arjun (referring to Salman Khan sharing screen space with Shah Rukh) in Pathaan. She took to Twitter and wrote, “OMG ! Blown away! Just fantastic ! @iamsrk @deepikapadukone #johnabraham. Just fantastic! Thank you for being the reason for the industry to celebrate again!”

Rahul Dholakia, who directed Shah Rukh in Raees (2017), described Pathaan as an “incredible experience watching it in a housefull show on a huge IMAX screen”.

Watching Pathaan left Sayani Gupta goggle-eyed. The Four More Shots Please actress described Shah Rukh as a “sexy beast” who had her “ovaries exploding”.

Shah Rukh’s Chaiyya Chaiyya co-star Malaika Arora too went gaga over Siddharth Anand’s action thriller. “I was I am n will always be an @iamsrk fan / Can’t remember the last time I was this excited to watch a film … … n Wat an Awesome film,” she posted in her Instagram Story.

Farah Khan was ecstatic after watching Shah Rukh on screen. The Om Shanti Om director described the film as a blockbuster. Shehzada actor Kartik Aaryan too hailed Shah Rukh’s come-back on the big screen, while Raazi star Vicky Kaushal was all praises for Shah Rukh for “making us all dream to be part of the movies again”.

National Award-winning actor Kamal Haasan took to Twitter to congratulate Shah Rukh Khan. “Way to go,” he posted.
