The first thing which comes to my mind about Shah Rukh Khan is that he is the most humble and honest person. Like me, millions of fans are dying to see just a glimpse of him. Shah Rukh Khan — the name is enough to prove how modest he is. The man has been the cynosure of all eyes since he stepped into the film industry. His humble nature and his acting seem to get better with each passing year. I have been a SRK fan since childhood. His excellence and dedication to his work always motivate me and many others too. God has created Shah Rukh Khan not just to act in movies but to give common people like us peace of mind and joy that no one else can provide.
Mr Khan is very focused on his work. I often listen to his motivational speeches which rejuvenate me even if I am sad and encourage me to stand up once again. He is recognised for his humanitarian and philanthropic work. His boyish charm, pure innocence and dreamy demeanour have mesmerised people all these years. When SRK came to Mumbai he had nothing, but today he has everything because he is not only focused but at this age, he is still showing his charismatic skills. One thing I would like to add is that if you are focused and truly dedicated, you don't have to run for success, success will come to your doorstep. Happy birthday King and long live. (What does SRK mean to you... November 2)

From falling head over heels in love with the young and charming Raj Malhotra in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge to yearning for a calm listener like Dr Jahangir Khan in Dear Zindagi, Shah Rukh sir has always illuminated our monochromatic lives with his zestful and iconic characters. His dishevelled hair, expressive eyes, winsome smile and remarkable acting have captured millions of hearts in his scintillating career spanning over three decades. The comfort his characters radiate is magical and ineffable. As a fan, I have not only loved my idol during his peak years but have also empathised with him during his rough phase. The series of abhorrent comments and posts on social media aimed to incriminate him as a traitor were heartbreaking but his commendable perseverance guided him through the period of darkness. His compassion, courage and commitment towards his profession are inspiring. One of the most cherished lines from one of his chartbuster songs: “Kisi zubaan mein bhi woh lafz hi nahi ki jinn mein tum ho kya tumhein bataa sakoon” immaculately sums up the ineptitude of his fans to define what he truly means to us. He is not just a shining star but our entire universe. Thank you for entertaining us wholeheartedly, SRK.

He means the world to me. I remember how my core childhood memory was watching Kuch Kuch Hota Hai on any afternoon. I have watched his films and interviews whenever I am the saddest or the happiest. When Fan was released and I heard the dialogues that Gaurav (played by SRK) said, I could relate to them so much. I just hope someday I get to meet him and let him know how he saved my life in so many critical moments when I had no hope left in me.

Jo hawa ka rukh badal de, jiske aagey kaaynat jhuk jaati hai... the man who is the epitome of magic, miracles and make-believe... the presence whose dimpled display can set aflutter countless hearts... that person is SRK, the one and only King Khan, Hindi film industry's invincible Badshah. SRK for me, is intelligence, wit, humour and chivalry personified. His humility has just the right dose of pride and self-worth. He is here to 'rule' for all the right reasons. When the man talks about the curve balls that life will throw and wisecracks about ways to dodge them, it seems as if every hurdle can be topped and every summit conquered. SRK for me is the pharaoh, a fatal attraction, a fantastic beginning to a fruitful end.

Shah Rukh Khan means:
The guy who rode on horseback in a cape and mask in the title track of Bazigaar. Raj from DDLJ consoling Simran for missing a train, helping her out, coming to India for his love;
Arjun from Karan Arjun who fought against the evil feudal lord for revenge and his lady love. The man who danced to Chhaiya chhaiya on top of a running train amongst the hills.
The cool guy Rahul from Kuch Kuch Hota Hain who was the best friend of Anjali, the benevolent father to junior Anjali. The friendly music teacher from Mohabbatein.
The elder brother, lovely husband and affectionate brother-in-law Rahul from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The farishta Aman from Kal Ho Naa Ho. Veer from Veer-Zaara who crossed the border for his love. Om from Om Shanti Om who taught us when a guy is in love, he can float singing a song and the universe helps us to achieve our dreams if we manifest it (way before Paulo Coelho did to me). Mohan Bhargav from Swades and Brahmastra.
Kaali from Dilwale. Dr. Jug from Dear Zindagi taught us that choosing the right chair is very important and that if we suppress our feelings we will never be able to fight our inner demons. The man who is the biggest cheerleader for Kolkata Knight Riders, who grooved to the music of "Korbo korbe jeetbo re".
SRK is a part of my childhood, my teenage years and even now. The characters I have written about are real to me. I am a '90s kid and I have lived the time of these movies, I am fortunate to be the witness of his 'empire'. I try not to miss his movies and even though I haven't seen any of his movies in theatres to date, I try to watch those on television or OTT.

SRK means a lot to me. First of all, I am proud to be his fellow citizen of India. His feat does not require my additions...he is truly a citizen of the world! He is a classic example of a human being transforming himself from ordinary to extraordinary. And the best part of it is that he has remained the same old middle-class Delhi boy at heart with an ambition to be successful in life. He chose to travel to Mumbai without knowing the trade or knowing any person to guide him. But with his sheer determination, hard work and dedicated effort, he is the biggest bankable star of the Indian film industry.
Julius Caesar's famous quote 'vini,vidi,vici' holds true for SRK. His inspiring story of reaching the pinnacle of success in a career of his choice has had the greatest effect on me. Through his romantic roles, he has shown us how to be the perfect lover and how love can become a way of life. To conclude, I also admire his special calibre of not allowing success and fame to distract him as he is still a family man like you and me. I wish him greater success.

SRK means a sense of humour and romance. To his many fans, he is the undisputed king. Shah Rukh Khan is an emotion. Though I am not a die-hard fan, for me, SRK means peace, trust and an actor you can rely on. I am most fond of his old films like Darr, Baazigar, Anjaam, DDLJ and, of course, but his golden era films Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham or Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna also give me the same amount of fun and entertainment as they did 10 or 15 years ago. Though I haven't watched his recent films, in Dear Zindagi he was mind-blowing. At the age of 58, he is still the king, fighting the bad guys, romancing the heroines, and making us laugh or cry.

When someone says 'King of Bollywood', the face that pops up in my mind is that of SRK, with arms spread wide and his face wearing a dimpled smile. Those immortal words "Rahul, naam to suna hoga" make me feel "kuch kuch hota hai". SRK personifies almost every youth's persona: charming, witty and a romantic hero. His story of struggle is an inspiration for thousands who come to Mumbai every day dreaming of stardom as he did all those years ago. His life story inspires them that if Shah Rukh Khan could do it, so can they. His journey is one such example that makes Mumbai the city of dreams. He is not just a superstar, he is our world. From his kindness, chivalry and humility to his eyes, hairstyle and tweets, we love everything about him.
Sohini Raychaudhuri
Every word seems to be imperfect for the love and respect I have for this man. Just like old wine, which grows stronger with time, my admiration for him is becoming stronger every day. I was mentally prepared that 2023 would be all about him. His fans have waited very long for their hero to deliver successive hits in a year.

t2 has already listed a variety of things that SRK stands for but since the saying goes 'to each their own', there must be a specific thing SRK means to each individual. Shah Rukh Khan is a great actor. I do not belong to the generation that witnessed SRK's growing stardom yet I can feel how great SRK is as an actor. His movies continue to charm viewers. To me, SRK is an embodiment of the fact that one can achieve success if one believes in oneself and tries hard. He inspires us to believe that one can achieve their dreams no matter how hard the circumstances are. SRK's journey is surely one that imparts motivation and inspiration.
