Shah Rukh Khan will begin shooting for his next film by April next year, the 58-year-old actor said in an interview with Middle East media organisation MBC on Thursday.
“I think I will start one (movie) in March-April now,” he said, adding that he was now looking forward to playing more age-appropriate roles in his upcoming films.
“I think one of the few things in Indian films we missed out on is that people can play their age and play the star still,” said the Dunki actor, citing examples of Hollywood stars like Mel Gibson and George Clooney to prove his point.
Admitting that the charm he exudes now is different from the charm he possessed twenty years back, Shah Rukh revealed that he would like to do an action film that is more “age-real”. “I think I have a couple of more good punches in me,” the Jawan actor added.
Shah Rukh also appreciated the spectacular landscape of Neom and Jeddah, and thanked the members of the Saudi film board for their support during the filming of Dunki, the first Indian film to be shot in Saudi Arabia.
The Bollywood star headlined three films this year, including the record-breaking hits Jawan and Pathaan. Dunki, starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani alongside Shah Rukh, released on December 21.
Shah Rukh is reportedly planning to collaborate with daughter Suhana Khan in his upcoming project.
