Shah Rukh Khan stayed up all night to watch fans attend Jawan’s 6am premiere at Mumbai’s Gaiety Galaxy theatre on Thursday, the actor said in a post on X (formerly Twitter), thanking movie-goers for turning out in large numbers to enjoy the mass entertainer.
Resharing a fan-page video showing a huge group of people celebrating on the streets before going for the first-day-first-show of the film, the 57-year-old actor wrote, “Love u boys and girls. I hope u enjoy the entertainment. Kept awake to see u go to the theatre. Big love and thanks.”
The video, which was shot half-an-hour before the premiere of Shah Rukh’s Jawan, showed dedicated fans of the star walking down the streets with a banner of the film while chanting ‘We love Shah Rukh’. It was shared by a verified fan page named Shah Rukh Khan Universe Fan Club.
“Its 5:35 AM in the morning and we have started celebrating our historic 6AM and its MASS HYSTERIA as we welcome the KING to the big screen! 🔥🔥🔥,” they wrote in the caption.
Helmed by Atlee, Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Sanya Malhotra. Deepika Padukone will also make a special appearance in the film. The film released on Thursday in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
