Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan has finally landed on OTT after setting various records with its massive worldwide box office collections, with some new scenes as bonus. The Siddharth Anand directorial, which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video, includes three scenes that did not make it to the version that was released at theatres. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the action thriller also stars Deepika Padukone as ISI agent Rubina Mohsin and John Abraham as rogue RAW agent Jim.
The first deleted scene comes in at the one-hour-10-minute mark in the film where Shah Rukh’s Pathaan is being tortured by the Russians in ‘Black Prison’ after being caught inside the vault of the Woskwich Tower. The 47-second-long scene shows Pathaan exclaiming at the fluent Hindi of a Russian officer, followed by the scene where his boss Nandini (Dimple Kapadia) comes to see him.
The second deleted scene, which is making waves on Twitter since the OTT release of Pathaan, shows a long-haired sunglass-donning Shah Rukh making an entry in his coolest avatar yet, walking out of the elevator into the JOCR building and greeting his co-workers, after having escaped from the Russian prison. Coming in at the one-hour-30-minute mark, this scene has Pathaan stopping a female colleague of his and saying, “Agar zindagi rahi toh gale milenge!” right before telling his male colleague, “Tumse tab bhi nahi milunga”, making for comedic relief. The one-minute-11-second scene shows an important part of the film where Pathaan discusses his plan to infiltrate Jim’s lab and destroy the virus, something he pulls off just minutes later.

The third deleted scene, coming in at the one-hour-42-second mark, is centred around Deepika’s Rubina Mohsin being questioned by Indian agents following her arrest at Jim’s lab. The Pakistani ISI agent almost breaks down while revealing that Jim always has a back-up plan ready.
The deleted scenes got an overwhelming response on social media, with the Twitterati sharing their disappointment at the elevator entry scene being taken out of the theatrical release.
Pathaan, which released in theatres on January 25, earned a box office collection of Rs 1,000 crore worldwide, which is the biggest collection for any Hindi film yet. A total of eight scenes were deleted from the final cut of the theatrical release, following an uproar over the Besahram Rang song. The action thriller is a part of the YRF Spy Universe along with the Tiger and War franchise.
