Bollywood is brushing up on its festive shine with celebs throwing pre-Diwali dos as a lead up to the most sparkly time of the year. This time it was actress Dia Mirza’s pre-Diwali party, held at her residence in Mumbai on Sunday, which had names like Shabana Azmi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sayani Gupta, Konkona Sensharma, Richa Chadha and Divya Dutta putting out their best foot forward. Here’s a look.
“Creative women’s power at Dia and Vaibhav’s Diwali do,” Shabana Azmi, oozing elegance in a brown-and-maroon sari, captioned her post on Instagram alongside a group picture with some of her favourite ladies.
From taking happy selfies and making funny faces, friends Konkona Sensharma, Divya Dutta and Sayani Gupta were all seen partying it up. Choosing to turn up in ethnic ensembles, Konkona donned a red sari, Divya Dutta opted for a black silk kari and Sayani stunned in white.
Dia Mirza and her husband Vaibhav Rekhi took a break from their hosting duties to pose for a happy-couple picture at their residence. The actress, who was last seen in Netflix series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, looked elegant in a black-and-golden sari, while Vaibhav kept it simple in a red-and-grey pinstripe kurta.
Also making their presence felt at the party were Bollywood celebrities Richa Sharma, Ali Fazal, Sophie Choudry, Amrita Puri and Cyrus Sahukar.
What Diwali party is complete without a little taash fun? Richa Chadha and Amrita Puri were caught in a candid moment playing cards at Dia’s house.
Heeramandi actress Aditi Rao Hydari, who attended the party in a black and silver suit, looked to be in high spirits as she posed for a groupfie with the hosts and the who’s who at the party.
