Following the teaser launch of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2 and the title track of Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya, the makers of other upcoming movies from the Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam film industries dropped new trailers and teasers last week. Here’s a look at some of them.

Vindhya Victim Verdict (Tamil)

The official trailer of the upcoming Tamil-language social drama film Vindhya Victim Verdict or V3 is out. Written and directed by Amudhavanan, the film stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Paavana, Esther Anil, Adukaalam Naren and Ponmudi.

The two-minute-27-second-long trailer sheds light on caste-based violence and oppression. It showcases a civil service officer’s fight for the rights of the people.

V3 is set to hit the theatres on January 6.

Custody (Telugu)

The teaser of Custody has been released. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the action drama stars Naga Chaitanya, Krithi Shetty, Arvind Swami, Sharat Kumar, Priyamani, Sampath Raj, Premgi Amaren, Vennela Kishore and Premi Vishwanath.

In the 26-second-long teaser, we see a glimpse of a chase sequence and then are introduced to Naga Chaitanya’s rowdy police officer. He was seen fighting with several men in the film’s earlier poster.

Custody is slated to arrive in the cinemas on May 12.

Mammootty’s next (Malayalam)

Malayalam star Mammootty’s next film will be directed by renowned cinematographer Roby Varghese Raj, who will make his directorial debut with the yet-untitled film. The film is produced by the actor’s own production company Mammootty Kampany.

The film has been written by Muhammed Shafi and Rony David Raj, while Sushin Shyam will compose its music.

Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye (Kannada)

Actor-director Raj B. Shetty, known for Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana and Ondu Motteya Kathe, has taken to Instagram to share the second poster of his upcoming film Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye. The 35-year-old shared the poster on Instagram where he is seen sitting in a chair with a cup in his hands.
