Musician-composer Santhosh Narayanan treated the audience at his Neeye Oli concert in Chennai to a two-minute-long clip of the unreleased theme song for Prabhas' character in Nag Ashwin's upcoming epic sci-fi action film Kalki 2898 AD, reveal videos shared by fans on social media.
A video posted by a fan account on X (formerly Twitter) captures the pulsating beats of the background music as the jumbotrons showcase Prabhas making his grand entrance into the dystopian world of Kalki 2898 AD. However, the video, filmed from a distance within an auditorium packed with fans, is not clear enough to discern further details.
Narayanan has dropped pictures on social media from the concert held on February 10, thanking his fans for their love. “We made history together my dearest fam. It was so emotional to connect with all 30,000 of you. Thank you for your love and the long pending dream of arena shows in South India begins here. More power to you all. Will never forget this. Love you to the moon and back,” wrote the 40-year-old musician alongside a carousel on Instagram.
Kalki 2898 AD, featuring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in lead roles, boasts an ensemble cast that includes Kamal Hassan, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani.
Shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, the film is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, with cinematography done by Djordje Stojiljkovic.
According to an official synopsis on IMDb, Kalki 2898 AD narrates the tale of a modern-day avatar who has descended to Earth to protect the world from evil forces.
Prabhas, who is currently riding high on his Salaar success, will also star in Maruthi Dasari’s upcoming horror film The Raja Saab.
Following its grand debut at San Diego’s Comic-Con last year, Kalki 2898 AD is slated to hit theatres on May 9.
