Actress Sana Javed has shared an unseen picture with her husband Shoaib Malik from their wedding ceremony held on January 19.
In the picture, the 30-year-old actress sported a light beige sheer lehenga, while Shoaib went for a white sherwani. The newlyweds were decked in a garland made of white roses.
Besides captioning the photo with a red heart emoji, Sana has also changed her name to ‘Sana Shoaib Malik’ on Instagram after her marriage with the former Pakistan cricket team captain.
The news of Shoaib’s wedding broke on Saturday afternoon when the former cricketer shared the news on social media alongside a photo from their nikkah ceremony. “Alhamdullilah ❤️And We created you in pairs,” he wrote in the caption.
Shoaib was previously married to Indian tennis player Sania Mirza with whom he has a son, Izhaan. Though they have not officially confirmed their separation, Sania’s sister Anam confirmed in an official statement on Sunday that Shoaib and Sania have been divorced for a few months now.
“Sania has always kept her personal life away from the public eye. However, today the need has arisen for her to share that Shoaib and she have been divorced for a few months now,” Anam wrote in an Instagram post, requesting fans to respect her sister’s need for privacy during this “sensitive period” and to refrain from indulging in any form of speculation.
Sana, known for her roles in TV shows such as the 2017 drama Khaani and the 2023 series Sukoon, was previously married to singer Umair Jaswal.
