Ryan Gosling launches production company General Admission, inks first-look deal with Amazon MGM Studios

Apple Original Films executive Jessie Henderson has partnered with the Barbie actor for this venture

Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling has launched production company General Admission and inked a three-year first-look film deal with Amazon MGM Studios, the US media reported on Thursday.

Gosling and his partner, Apple Original Films executive Jessie Henderson, have jointly inked the three-year first-look deal with Amazon MGM Studios which grants the studio exclusive first access to narrative features, including some with Gosling in leading roles.

Courtenay Valenti, head of film, streaming, and theatrical at Amazon MGM Studios, told American portal Variety, “As the name of their company conveys, these passionate and extraordinary filmmakers want to tell stories for audiences all over the world. Ryan Gosling is a truly singular artist who possesses boundless talent and creativity. We could not be more excited to make big, bold, signature movies with him.”

Expressing his gratitude, Gosling said, “I feel incredibly fortunate to have partners like Jessie Henderson and Courtenay Valenti in this endeavor. The gift of partnering with Jessie Henderson in General Admission is one that cannot be understated. I’m a huge fan of Jessie’s and the films she’s produced and developed.”

Praising Gosling's unique perspective and vision as a producer, Henderson remarked, “Ryan brings a unique and brilliant perspective to everything he does, and I’m so impressed by his vision as a producer. We’re both true movie lovers who want to create stories that stick in audiences’ heads and hearts.”

Gosling, a three-time Oscar nominee, known for his recent role in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, is set to star in David Leitch’s The Fall Guy, which debuted at this month's SXSW festival. Additionally, he's both producing and starring in Lord and Miller’s adaptation of the bestselling book Project Hail Mary.
