Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas has heaped praise on her husband Nick Jonas for his ‘phenomenal’ performance in Robert Schwartzman’s upcoming family drama The Good Half, urging fans to watch the ‘beautiful, poignant and touching movie’ in cinemas on August 16.

Sharing the trailer of the film on Instagram on Friday, Priyanka wrote, “Cannot wait for you all to experience this beautiful, poignant, touching movie with incredible performances. I may or may not be slightly biased, but @nickjonas, you are phenomenal in this one. The Good Half coming to cinemas near you on 16 August.”

Penned by Brett Ryland, The Good Half follows Renn Wheeland’s (Jonas) attempts to come to terms with his mother’s death and mend his strained relationship with his sister Leigh (Brittany Snow) and stepfather (David Arquette). The film also stars Alexandra Shipp as Zoey and Matt Walsh as Renn’s biological father.

The Good Half premiered in 2023 at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Nick will also star in John Carney’s upcoming musical comedy Power Ballad alongside Paul Rudd and Jack Reynor.

Priyanka, on the other hand, is currently filming for Frank Ewen Flowers’ upcoming action movie The Bluff in Australia. The Citadel actress will also appear in Ilya Naishuller’s Heads of State alongside Idris Elba, John Cena, Paddy Considine, Stephen Root and Carla Gugino.

Priyanka and Nick tied the knot in December 2018 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The couple welcomed their daughter Malti in January 2022. Nick recently did a cameo in Love Again (2023) starring Priyanka, Sam Heughan and Celine Dion.
