Prime Video hints at return of Munna Bhaiya in Mirzapur Season 3 bonus episode

Actor Divyendu Sharma’s Munna Bhaiya may appear in the bonus episode of Mirzapur Season 3, Prime Video hinted in a cryptic social media post featuring the character on Wednesday.

In the post, a photo of Munna Bhaiya is accompanied by a folder icon on the left with the caption “bonus episode”. The post has left fans excited for the upcoming episode on social media.

Ali Fazal, who plays Guddu Pandit on the show, announced the bonus episode in a teaser earlier this month. In a video, he asked fans to “keep an eye out for the bonus episode”, adding, “You will have a blast watching it. Your mind will be blown. I promise.”

Ali also teased the return of a “stud type guy” whom his character had killed in Season 2. He hinted that the character is “too cool to stay dead” and eager to make a comeback.

Created by Karan Anshuman, Mirzapur Season 1 came out in 2018. Set in a town in Uttar Pradesh, Mirzapur revolves around a don named Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi), who runs an illegal gun business and has a stranglehold over the town. However, his authority is challenged by brothers Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal) and Bablu Pandit (Vikrant Massey), who get involved with his business after a series of violent events.

Produced by Excel Entertainment, Mirzapur Season 3 premiered on July 5 after a four-year hiatus. Co-directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Anand Iyer, the latest season consists of 10 episodes.

The star-studded cast includes Pankaj Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Anjum Sharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chadha, Meghna Malik and Manu Rishi Chadha.
