Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has breached the Rs 900-crore mark in worldwide box office collections on the 12th day of its theatrical run, the makers announced on Monday.

“Raging towards the magical milestone… #EpicBlockbusterKalki in cinemas,” the official handle of the film wrote on X alongside a poster announcing the film’s collection.

Kalki 2898 AD opened strong in India, earning Rs 95.3 crore nett on its opening day. By the end of its first week, Kalki 2898 AD amassed Rs 414.85 crore nett in India.

The Prabhas-starrer kicked off its second week in theatres with a Rs 16.7 crore nett collection on Friday. In the second weekend, the film added another Rs 78.5 crore nett to its earnings. It earned an additional Rs 10.4 crore nett on the second Monday.

According to industry data-tracking platform Sacnilk, the domestic total for Kalki 2898 AD stands at Rs 520.45 crore nett.

The Telugu version of the film has outperformed other dubbed versions, contributing Rs 248.2 crore nett. Meanwhile, the Hindi version has collected a notable Rs 218.9 crore nett. The Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada dubbed versions have collectively added Rs 53.35 crore nett to the total.

Kalki 2898 AD, which also features Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone in key roles, has sold over 10 million tickets on BookMyShow, the ticketing app announced on Monday.
