Directed by Prashanth Neel and also starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire is set in the fictional city of Khansaar. The film narrates the story of two friends-turned-foes, Deva (Prabhas) and Vardha (Prithviraj). In addition to Prabhas and Prithviraj, Salaar: Part 1 also features Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu and Bobby Simha in key roles.

Salaar released theatrically on December 22 last year, ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays. The epic action drama went on to become the highest grossing Telugu film of 2023, earning over Rs 600 crore worldwide.

On the work front, Prabhas was last seen in Nag Ashwin’s epic sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan. He is also set to star in the mythological fantasy film Kannappa alongside Mohanlal and Akshay Kumar. Additionally, the actor will headline Maruthi’s The Raja Saab, slated to hit theatres in April next year.
