Actors Prabhas and Disha Patani have jetted off to Italy to shoot a new sequence for Nag Ashwin’s upcoming mythological epic Kalki 2898 AD, reveal fresh behind-the-scenes photos shared by production house Vyjayanthi Movies on Thursday.
Disha, clad in a black hoodie, turns a photographer for Prabhas inside an aircraft in the first picture, while the two actors are filming amidst strong winds in another photo. Both Disha and Patani strike a pose wrapped in blankets against an oceanic backdrop in yet another picture from the lot.
In another photo, the entire cast and crew of the dystopian science-fiction film is seen posing in front of a private jet that flew them to Italy.
Prabhas, who is riding high on his Salaar success, will play a modern-day avatar in the Kalki 2898 AD. As per an official synopsis on IMDb, his character has descended to earth to protect the world from evil forces.
Kalki 2898 AD, slated to hit the screens on May 9, also features Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan in key roles. Santhosh Narayanan serves as the music composer of the film, while the cinematography is done by Djordje Stojiljkovic.
Prabhas will also headline Maruthi Dasari’s upcoming horror film The Raja Saab. In the film, the 44-year-old actor will share screen space with Malavika Mohanan, Niddhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar.
Disha, on the other hand, will be seen in Dharma Productions’ upcoming action thriller Yodha alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Raashii Khanna.
