Parambrata Chattopadhyay tied the knot with social activist Piya Chakraborty in an intimate ceremony on Monday, the actor-director announced in an Instagram post with pictures of the newlyweds the same day.
Parambrata's Instagram post featured several snapshots capturing the essence of their special day. Clad in a rust-coloured kurta and a green jacket, the actor looked all set to begin his new journey. Piya looked radiant in a red-and-white sari with a matching blouse.
In another image, the couple shared a candid moment, laughing together as they looked at the camera. Yet another picture depicted the pair holding hands, sitting side by side, and beaming at the camera.
Parambrata captioned his post with lines from Anglo-American poet T.S. Eliot’s The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufock. “‘Let us go then, you and I, When the evening is spread out against the sky…’ This is it. @piya_chakraborty,” she wrote, tagging the bride.
The actor’s post received congratulations from fans and several members of the entertainment industry, including Raima Sen, Subhashree Ganguly, Monami Ghosh, Sayani Gupta, Mimi Chakraborty and Anindita Bose.
Piya was previously married to singer-songwriter Anupam Roy. They got divorced in 2021.
