Viewers in India will be able to watch the 96th Academy Awards live on Disney+ Hotstar, Star Movies, Star HD and Star World from 5.30 am (IST) on March 11, the streamer and the TV channels have announced.
The 2024 edition of the film awards show will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California on the evening of March 10, 2024 (EST).
On Tuesday, the streaming platform shared a reel featuring snippets from the Oscar-nominated films of the year. The caption read, “Grab your snacks and settle in for a star-studded day! Oscars 2024, streaming live on #DisneyPlusHotstar, March 11. Let the show begin!”
Star Movies India will air the awards ceremony live for viewers in India from 5.30am (IST) on Monday morning, it said in an Instagram post.
Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer has taken the lead in nominations this year. The Cillian Murphy-led biographical thriller has garnered 13 nominations, including best picture and best director. Other notable films nominated for the coveted awards include Poor Things (11 nods) and Killers of the Flower Moon (10 nods).
Comedian Jimmy Kimmel is all set to take the stage as the host for the fourth time, promising an evening filled with laughter.
