Nicolas Cage’s raving maniac forces Joel Kinnaman to drive him around at gunpoint in the trailer of the upcoming psychological thriller film Sympathy for the Devil, dropped by RLJE Films on Wednesday early morning.
In the two-minute-29-second-long trailer, a soon-to-be father (Kinnaman) on his way to the hospital with his wife in labour is hijacked by a mysterious man (Cage), who forces him to drive around at gunpoint. Their trip includes a stop at a diner where the mysterious individual forces his driver to play a high-stakes game. David must answer questions correctly; otherwise, his captor will execute everyone at the place.
Filled with violence and gore, the trailer promises a thrilling ride with Cage showcasing his unique brand of theatrics. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent actor seems to be in fine form after his turn as bloodthirsty Dracula in Renfield.
