Created by Peter Morgan, this popular series returns with an all-new cast including Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Jonathan Pryce as the Duke of Edinburgh, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Dominic West as Prince Charles, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana and Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles.

The trailer takes us to the last two decades of the last century when Princess Diana was finding it hard to deal with the difficulties of being a royal and had no other way but to reveal how the UK press along with the royal family was making her life difficult. We hear a character saying, “The royal family is in a genuine crisis.”

The Crown season 5 will arrive on Netflix on November 9.

All Quiet on the Western Front

The German-language first World War drama is directed by Edward Berger and based on a novel of the same name by Erich Maria Remarque. All Quiet on the Western Front is Germany’s submission to the 2023 Academy Awards and the first time the book has been adapted for the screen in German. It stars Felix Kammerer, Albrecht Schuch, Aaron Hilmer, Moritz Klaus and Edin Hasanovic.

The official synopsis reads, “All Quiet on the Western Front tells the gripping story of a young German soldier on the Western Front of World War I. Paul and his comrades experience first-hand how the initial euphoria of war turns into desperation and fear as they fight for their lives, and each other, in the trenches.” The two-minute-long trailer focuses on the recruitment and deployment of a group of young German soldiers on the Western Front during World War I.

All Quiet on the Western Front will arrive in selected theatres and on Netflix on October 28.

My Name Is Vendetta

This Italian crime revenge film My Name Is Vendetta stars Alessandro Gassmann and Ginevra Francesconi in lead roles. It is directed by designer-turned-director Cosimo Gomez.

The trailer gives us a glimpse of a revenge story where a father trains her daughter to seek revenge from his former employers for the brutal murder of his wife. The film also features Remo Girone, Gabriele Falsetta, Alessio Praticò, Marcello Mazzarella and Sinja Dieks.

My Name Is Vendetta will be available on Netflix from November 30.

Hot Skull

Netflix announced the date of its upcoming Turkish-language post-apocalyptic thriller series Hot Skull, which is based on a novel of the same name by Afşin Kum. Directed by Mert Baykal and Umu Turagay, the series stars Sebnem Hassanisoughi, Ozden Isiltan and Hazal Subasi.

The teaser shows bleak visions of a world that has been hit by a deadly epidemic.

The official synopsis reads, “In a world shaken by an epidemic of madness that spreads through speech, Murat is the only immune person. As he searches for the secret of his mysterious immunity, his ‘hot skull’, he has to leave the safe zone and embark on an adventure within the ruins of Istanbul.”
