After portraying a single father in Hi Nanna, Nani is back to his action avatar in Vivek Athreya-helmed action film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’s teaser, dropped by the makers on the actor’s 40th birthday on Saturday.

The one-minute-25-second-long teaser begins with a shot of Nani from behind, walking around a yellow-walled room and confronting a group of men. “Rage has many forms and every person’s rage is unique,” we hear SJ Suryah’s voiceover, wondering whether anyone has ever seen a person “unleash” their rage “methodically” and “meticulously” like a maniac.

The video shows Nani’s character simmering with rage and beating up a group of men mercilessly before shifting to a scene in which he pulls a rickshaw with intense music playing in the background.

After filling most of the teaser with his voiceover, SJ Suryah appears at the end of the video as a drunken cop challenging Nani and wishing him “Happy Birthday” in a condescending tone. Nani fumes with anger in the last scene tinted with a deep red hue as a birthday wish appears across the screen.

Sharing a poster of Saripodhaa Sanivaaram on X, production house DVV Entertainment wrote, “Happy Birthday Brother….@NameIsNani. Here's our MASS treat for all... #SaripodhaaSanivaaramGlimpse.”

Murali G, known for his work in Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Kushi, has been in charge of the cinematography for the film. Kalki theme song creator Jakes Bejoy has worked with the soundtrack.

Produced by DVV Entertainment’s Danayya and Kalyan Dasari, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is slated to release in theatres on August 29.
